Hong Kong-based payment provider LianLian International has announced that it will join the RippleNet payment network that facilitates cross-border transactions via the use of blockchain technology.
LianLian will adopt Ripple’s xCurrent solution which is already used by over 100 other organisations, in order to enable customers to conduct same-day cross-border transactions via RippleNet.
“With RippleNet, we will further enhance that experience by offering customers constant, blockchain-powered payments across the 19 currencies that we currently support,” said Arthur Zhu, CEO of LianLian International.
Ripple said that LianLian’s adoption of xCurrent will also facilitate transactions between existing RippleNet members and the Chinese market.
