4 Trillion Yuan in Bonds Issued in November

Bond issuance in China totalled 4 trillion yuan for the month of November according to the latest official data from the Chinese central bank.

November saw the issuance of 259.9 billion yuan in treasury bonds, 45.9 billion yuan in local government bonds, 583.4 billion yuan in financial bonds, 835.7 billion yuan in corporate credit bonds, 270.8 billion yuan in asset backed securities and 2 trillion yuan in interbank certificates of deposit.

In 2017 China issued bonds worth a total of 40.8 trillion yuan according to a report from Xinhua, for an increase of 12.9% compared to the preceding year.

November also saw a total of 85.5 trillion yuan in interbank money market transactions, for a YoY rise of 24.47% and an on-month increase of 24.19%, as well as 18 trillion yuan in interbank bond market spot transactions, for a daily average of 819.5 billion yuan, and a YoY rise of 69.66%, alongside an on-month increase of 9.82%.

Exchange bond market spot transactions totalled 567 billion yuan, for a daily average of 25.8 billion yuan, or a YoY decline of 6.39% and an on-month rise of 7.48%.
