Sales of mobile phones in China have taken a sharp dive in the first month of 2020.
China’s mobile phone market saw the shipment of 20.813 millions units in January for a YoY decline of 38.9%, according to figures from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT).
These shipments included 346,000 2G units, 15.003 million 4G units and 5.465 million units.
34 new mobile phone models hit the Chinese market in January, for a YoY rise of 6.3%, including eight 2G models, 18 4G models and eight 5G models.
