The cloud computing vehicle of tech giant Tencent has entered a strategic cooperative agreement with a regional lender in the Henan province city of Pingdingshan.
On 5 June Bank of Pingdingshan executed a strategic cooperative agreement with Tencent Cloud in Shenzhen, to engage in “in-depth cooperation in multiple areas including fintech,” as well as the creation of an online finance ecosystem, the promotion of scenario-isatin of financial products and services and digital transformation.
Bank of Pingdingshan said that digitisation is the “inevitable choice” for modern enterprise, while in 2019 the regional lender enlisted the help of Pricewaterhouse Coopers to help with its with its strategic planning to focus more on digital transformation.
Bank of Pingdingshan commenced working with Tencent Cloud in 2019 on “exploring the integration of financial services with daily life and production scenarios,” which it said has set “a strong foundation for cross-industry strategic cooperation.”
