The total assets of China’s banking sector rose to 244.44 trillion yuan (USD$37.35 trillion yuan) at the end of November, for a year-on-year increase of 10%.
Total liabilities of financial institutions in the banking sector saw a year-on-year increase of 10% to 225.37 trillion yuan, according to the latest monthly report from the China Banking Regulatory Commission.
According to the report the total assets of China’s commercial banks were 189.45 trillion yuan as of the end of November, comprising 77.5% of the total for the sector.
