China Construction Bank (CCB) is using fintech to increase the ease and convenience of car park payments for patrons.
CCB teamed up with Haifa Tingche Co. Ltd. (海发停车有限责任公司) to develop a new smart car park which entered operation on 8 December in the Gansu province city of Longnan.
The smart car park enables patrons to make payments simply by linking their vehicle license plates to their CCB bank cards, freeing them from the need to use cash, swipe their bank cards or make barcode scans.
In future CCB hopes to apply the “non-touch payments” system to other car parks in Longnan municipality, with a view to reducing vehicle congestion and wait times.
