Over 168 billion yuan in insurance asset management products were registered in the first half of the year according to the latest figures from the peak industry body for China’s insurance asset management sector.
During the period from January to June 25 insurance asset management companies in China registered 105 debt and equity investment plans with a total value of 168.148 billion yuan, according to figures from the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (中国保险资产管理业协会).
This included 58 infrastructure debt investment plans with a registered value of 110.6 billion yuan; 44 immobile property debt investment plans with a registered value of 52.348 billion yuan, and 3 equity investment plans with a registered value of 5.2 billion yuan.
As of the end of June insurance managers in China had issued 1161 debt and equity investment plans with a combined registered value of 2.698288 trillion yuan.
