Huawei Tops Latest List of China’s 500 Leading Private Enterprises, JD.com Takes 6th Place

Tech giant Huawei has come in first on the latest list of China’s top 500 private enterprises, while e-commerce platform JD.com has taken sixth place.

The China Private Enterprise Top 500 List (中国民营企业500强榜单) was released on 22 August in the Qinghai province capital of Xining, at a ceremony jointly held by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and the Qinghai province government.

According to the list the ten largest private-enterprises in China in terms of annual operating revenues are currently:

  1. Huawei Investment & Holding Co., Ltd.
  2. HNA Group
  3. Suning Holdings Group
  4. Amer International Group
  5. Evergrande Group
  6. JD.com
  7. Country Garden
  8. Hengli Group
  9. Legend Holdings
  10. Gome Holdings.

Huawei’s operating revenues were 721.2 billion yuan, while for HNA Grouop and Suning the figures were 618.3 billion yuan and 602.5 billion yuan respectively.

All of the top ten companies on the list had operating revenues in excess of 334 billion yuan, while the threshold for making the top 500 was 18.586 billion yuan.
