An opinion piece published by the Chinese Communist Party’s flagship newspaper has called for more fruitful integration of the roles of the government and the market in China’s economy.
In “Driving Organic Integration of Market Roles and Government Roles” (推动市场作用和政府作用有机统一) Song Xiongwei (宋雄伟), a researcher from the Central Party School, reiterated Xi Jinping call to “fully make use of the decisive role of the market in allocation of resources [and] better employ the role of government.”
Song said that China should “endeavour to drive the formation of a situation with an organic integration of market roles and government roles, mutual supplementation, mutual coordination, and mutual expediting; to drive ongoing healthy growth of the economy and society.”
