Retail and Food Sales During China’s National Day Golden Week Rise 8.5% YoY

Nationwide retail, food and beverage sales have seen a sizeable year-on-year rise during China’s Golden Week holiday in October 2019.

China’s Ministry of Commerce estimates that during the period from 1 – 7 October nationwide retail, food and beverage sales totalled 1.52 trillion yuan, for an increase of 8.5% compared to the same period last year.
