China’s maritime economy has posted a robust performance for the first three quarters of 2019.
The Ministry of Natural Resources estimates that the total output of China’s national maritime economy during the first three quarters of 2019 was worth almost 6.4 trillion yuan (approx. USD$910 billion), for a YoY rise of 6.3%.
The coastal and deep sea freight volumes rose 8.5% and 10.1% YoY respectively for the period, while China’s maritime crude oil and natural gas production rose 2.3% and 5.0% respectively.
