Chinese fibre optics and power network specialist Hengtong Group claims to have successfully developed the first platform in China that integrates quantum computing and blockchain technology.
Hengtong Group’s Quantum Encryption Communications Team (量子保密通信团队) and Professor Zhang Jun’s (张俊) team from the Wuhan University School of Electrical Engineering collaborated on the development of a blockchain system that makes use of quantum encrypted communications nodes, according to a report from Shanghai Securities News.
According to the report this is the first project to integrate quantum computing with blockchain technology.
