Construction and Urban Infrastructure Work Resumption Rate Hits 85.06% Following COVID-19 Outbreak

The latest official data points to the widespread resumption of building construction and municipal infrastructure projects following China’s stringent measures to contain the spread of COVID-19.

China’s Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development (MOHURD) recently announced that out of a total of 186,600 square metres in construction and urban infrastructure projects that are currently ongoing a total of 158,700 square metres had resumed work as of 1 April.

This translates into an overall project resumption rate of 85.06%.
