China’s Tourism Revenues Rise 11.1% in 2019 to Reach USD$936.8 Billion

The latest official data indicates that China’s domestic tourism market saw over six billion trips in 2019.

Data from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism indicates that tourists undertook 6.006 billion domestic trips within China in 2019, for a YoY rise of 8.4%.

Incoming tourists made 145.31 million trips, for a YoY rise of 2.9%, while outgoing tourists totalled 154.63 million trips, for a YoY rise of 3.3%.

Full year total tourism revenues were 6.63 trillion yuan (approx. USD$936.8 billion), for a YoY rise of 11.1%.
