JD.com Sees Active Users Increase by 100 Million During COVID-19 Pandemic

Chinese e-commerce platform JD.com has seen a surge in active users during the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

JD.com’s financial report released on 16 November indicates that it saw net income of 174.2 billion yuan in the third quarter, for a YoY rise of 29.2%.

The company’s Q3 non-GAAP operating profits were 5.3 billion yuan, for a YoY rise of 76.7% compared to 3 billion yuan during the same period last year.

As of 30 September JD.com’s active purchasers the past 12 months totalled 441.6 million, for a YoY rise of 32.1%, and an increase of more than 100 million users.
