Shanghai to Host 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Conference from 7 – 10 July

Shanghai is set to play host to a leading international conference on artificial intelligence (AI) that will bring together the world’s most renowned scholars and entrepreneurs in the field by means of both physical venues and virtual channels.

The 2021 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC) will be held at the Shanghai Expo Culture Center (SECC) and the Shanghai World EXPO Exhibition and Convention Center (SWEECC) over a four day period from 7 – 10 July.

WAIC is one of the leading international events for the AI sector, with the 2020 conference having seen the participation of over 550 speakers and more than 150 exhibitors in spite of the turmoil created by the COVID-19 pandemic.

In 2021 WAIC will feature a stellar line-up of speakers from the upper-most echelons of the global tech sector, including Jack Ma – founder of Alibaba; Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla; Robin Li, CEO of Baidu, and Ma Huateng, CEO of Tencent.

7 recipients of the Turing Award – the highest distinction in the field of computer science, will feature as speakers at WAIC in 2021, including Yoshua Bengio, Professor Andrew Yao and Federico Faggin.

The event will also see the participation of 52 Fortune 500 CEO’s, 62 academics from around the globe and 200 leading scholars.
