PBOC to Issue 5 Billion Yuan in 6-month Central Bank Bills on 24 June in Hong Kong

The People’s Bank of China (PBOC) has announced plans for a new issue of central bank bills (CBB) via Hong Kong on Thursday, 24 June.

According to PBOC the issue of 5 billion yuan (approx. USD$772.95 million) in 6-month (182 day) central bank bills will be made via Dutch auction by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s (HKMA) Central Moneymarkets Unit (CMU).

The issue will be the sixth issue of central bank bills since the start of 2021, and the term for the bills will run from 28 June – 27 December 2021.
