A new report from IDC puts the value of China’s big data market at over 677 billion yuan (approx. USD$104.8 billion).
The “China Big Data Platform Research Report 2020” (中国大数据平台市场研究报告-2020) released by IDC in June indicates that the Chinese big data market, including software services, reached 677.3 billion yuan last year, accounting for 14% of the global total.
In 2020 the biggest player in the Chinese big data platform sector in terms of market share was Huawei Cloud, followed by Alibaba Cloud, Amazon, Transwarp Technology, Tencent Cloud and New H3C Technologies.
Microsoft, Oracle and SAP were the top 3 big data service providers globally, accounting for 30% market share.
