ICBC Launches Cloud Platform Brand for “Non-contact Services,” Encompasses 5G, Blockchain and AI

China and the world’s biggest bank in terms of assets has just launched a new cloud computing “non-contact services” brand that encompasses a slew of fintech applications.

Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) has just announced the launch of “Cloud ICBC” (云工行), billing it as the lender’s “integrated non-contact services brand.”

ICBC said that the platform entails the “full usage of fintech advantages to enable clients to handle operations at any place and any time.”

“[Cloud ICBC] encompasses all non-contact services platforms and channels supported by 5G, the blockchain, artificial intelligence, audio and video channels and quantum technology, and also includes cloud network points, cloud studios, cloud orders and cloud client services,” said ICBC.

“It also includes products, services and open ecosystems provided, derived from or incubated by means of mobile banking, remote banking and third party channels.”
