China and the world’s biggest bank in terms of assets has grabbed top honours from New York-based finance publication Global Finance for its digital banking services.
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) took the award for the Best Consumer Digital Bank in China and the Best Corporate/ Institutional Digital Bank in China at Global Finance’s 2021 World’s Best Digital Banks Awards.
As of the end of June 2021 ICBC had 443 million registered customers of its personal mobile banking services, for average monthly active users of more than 100 million.
ICBC also had average monthly legal person users of its online banking services of around 4.2 million, while the figure for legal person users of its mobile banking services was approximately 1.46 million.
