Chinese Securities the Three Biggest Additions to MSCI Emerging Markets Index

US finance company has MSCI added a slew of Chinese stocks to key equity indices in its latest round of compositional adjustments.

MSCI announced on 9 February that it will be adding 21 securities to and removing another 11 securities from its MSCI Global Standard Indexes, effective from the close of 28 February.

The biggest additions in terms of market capitalisation to its MSCI Emerging Markets Index will be Gree Electric Appliances A (Hk-C), China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) A (Hk-C) (China) and Trina Solar A (Hk-C) (China).

MSCI has also made adjustments to its China indices, making four additions to and three deletions from the MSCI China A Onshore Index.

The three largest additions to the onshore index include China Mobile A, CNGR Advanced Material Co A and Zhejiang Orient Gene Biotech A.

MSCI will make five additions to and five deletions from the MSCI China All Shares Index, with the biggest additions including Gree Electric Appliances A, CNGR Advanced Materials Co A and Lufax Holding ADR.
