China’s top prosecutor has flagged increased focus on the enforcement of anti-trust and unfair competition measures in 2022.

The Supreme People’s Procuratorate’s 2022 Work Report said that it would strengthen anti-trust law enforcement this year, as well as measures in relation to “sudden profits” and unfair competition.

“[We] will support and guide the orderly and healthy development of capital,” said the Report.

The Procuratorate also said that it would severely punish financial crimes such as illegal fund-raising and money-laundering, and pragmatically maintain financial security.
