Regional lender Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank (SRCB) has established its own research institute to focus on fintech applications in the banking sector.
SRCB recently announced the launch of the Electronic Banking Usability Research Laboratory (电子银行可用性研究实验室), to undertake research into the usability aspects of mobile banking and enterprise online banking, as well as areas including digital persons, smart voice account transfers and smart identification technologies.
“The Laboratory’s goal is to make use of artificial intelligence technology, text identification technology and user research methods to deeply research the usability of digitised products, and thus diversify service mediums for clients, raising service efficiency and service quality, and achieving optimisation of user experience and innovation in application scenarios,” said SRCB in an statement.
