Chinese consumers currently hold over 1.8 billion mobile banking accounts with China’s big state-owned banks according to their latest round of annual reports.
Agricultural Bank of China (ABC), China Construction Bank (CCB) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) are the biggest providers of mobile banking services, with their 2021 annual reports indicating that they collectively provide her 1.286 billion mobile banking accounts.
ICBC alone has over 469 million mobile banking customers, while CCB has around 417 million and ABC over 400 million.
Postal Savings Bank of China (PSBC) has more than 326 million mobile banking clients, while Bank of China (BOC) over 235 million, and Bank of Communications (BOCOM) 38.11 million active mobile banking clients.
