China’s state planning agency is making over 2 billion yuan of investment in a new round of energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects.

On 26 July the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) announced that it would be making 2.4 billion yuan in its second round of central budget investments for 2022, specifically targeting pollution control, energy efficiency and carbon emissions reductions.

NDRC said that the investments will support energy efficiency and carbon reduction projects in key areas and sectors of the Chinese economy, as well as low carbon, zero carbon and carbon negative innovations.
