China’s Per Capita Disposable Income Rises 6.5% YoY in First Half of 2019

Per capita disposable income in China posted a real increase of 6.5% YoY in the first half of 2019.

Data from the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) indicates that China’s national per capita disposable income was 15,294 yuan for the first half of 2019, for a nominal YoY increase of 8.8% and an inflation-adjusted increase of 6.5%.

Per capita disposable income for China’s urban residents was 21,342 yuan, for a nominal YoY increase of 8.0% and an inflation adjusted increase of 5.7%.

Per capita disposable income for China’s rural village residents was 7,778 yuan, for a nominal YoY increase of 8.9% and an inflation adjusted increase of 6.6%.

China’s median per capita disposable income in the first half of 2019 was 13,281 yuan, for an increase of 9.0%.

The median per capita disposable income for urban residents was 19,536 yuan, for a YoY rise of 8.2%, while the median per capita disposable income for rural village residents was 6,601 yuan, for a YoY rise of 9.2%.
