China and the world’s biggest bank in terms of assets has launched a new faculty at its college in Beijing.

On 2 June the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) launched its “ICBC University New Star Academy” (工银大学新星学院) in Beijing, directed at university students and new staff.

The Academy aims to provide “differentiated practical training” and serve as an “employment training base” for ICBC recruits, while also serving as a “pluralised growth and development platform.”

ICBC University was first founded in 2015 as an “enterprise university” to provide training for current and potential employees
