Anti-coronavirus Lending from Chinese Banks Exceeded 1.07 Trillion Yuan at End of February

Lending from Chinese banks to support efforts to contain the novel coronavirus outbreak breached one trillion yuan at the end of February.

Data from the China Banking Association indicates that total lending from Chinese banking sector financial institutions to support efforts to combat the novel coronavirus outbreak exceeded 1.07 trillion yuan (approx. USD$152.21 billion) at the end of last month.

Chinese banks have also made donations of 2.254 billion yuan, as well as donations of approximately 10.5 million individual goods, 9.9964 million medical items, and 21,412 crates of food.
