The Bank of Beijing has opened its own fintech research facility in the eastern part of China’s national capital.
Bank of Beijing announced the establishment of the Fintech Innovation Laboratory (金融创新实验室) in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Centre on 4 January.
According to Bank of Beijing the new facility will be for the purpose of “driving systems upgrade innovations, project innovations and human personnel innovations.”
Bank of Beijing also revealed that it is currently in negotiations with the automation unit of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) to pursue collaboration in the areas of artificial intelligence and big data.
