Chinese private enterprises have turned to the interbank bond market to raise funds, following the launch of support measures by the Chinese government.

During the period from January to May of this year private enterprises issued 152 billion yuan in bonds on the interbank market, accounting for around 62% of all private enterprise issues, and net financing of 41 billion yuan.

State-owned media said that the interbank market played a “support role in the stabilisation of private enterprise bond financing”.

“Following the implementation of multiple support measures for the interbank market, private enterprise bond financing has seen marginal improvement, and private enterprises have maintained stability in their overall financing on the interbank bond market.”
