Registered Market Entities in China Rise 3.6% in 2022 to 159 Million

The number of registered market entities in China has seen growth of over 3% since the start of the year, as central government policy makers continue to stress the role of markets in driving economic growth.

As of the end of May China was host to around 159 million registered market entities, for a rise of 3.6% compared to the end of 2021, according to figures released by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) on 29 June.

The first five months of the year saw the establishment of 11.514 million new market entities in China, for a year-on-year increase of 0.8%.
