Big state-owned lender China Construction Bank (CCB) has announced that the number of its credit card users has exceeded the 100 million threshold.
CCB made the announcement on 30 July, at the released of its new “Yangtze River Delta Smooth Moving Dragon Card” (长三角畅行龙卡) and its “Dragon Card Healthcare Credit Card” (龙卡医护信用卡).
The “Smooth Moving Dragon Card” will combine both finance and transit functions for the Yangtze River Delta, amidst efforts by the Chinese government to further integrate the region.
The “Health Protection Credit Card” is a special financial product that provides fee-free insurance to healthcare workers, which CCP said is intended to express its “highest respect” to members of the medical sector.
